Aces lose guard Jackie Young to injury but hold on to beat Wings, 90-86

Jackie Young went down with a hip injury, but the Aces held on to beat the Dallas Wings, 90-86, on Wednesday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, to close their schedule of games before WNBA All-Star Break.
A’ja Wilson led the Aces (11-11) with 37 points and 10 rebounds. Jewell Loyd added 14 points and rookie Aaliyah Nye scored 13 points off the bench.
The Aces entered the fourth quarter with a 22-point lead and their advantage was cut down to four points in the final minute.
Rookie guard Paige Bueckers led the Wings (6-17) with 20 points and eight assists.
Young and the Wings' Luisa Geiselsöder both fell hard as Young slipped with 8:21 remaining in the game and did not return.
Wilson and Young are the Aces’ only All-Stars this year. Both players were selected to play on Team Clark as the event takes places on Saturday, July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, home of the Indiana Fever.
