2025 NFL draft grades for all 32 teams: Patriots, Raiders among big winners
Published in Football
Which teams fared the best this past weekend in Green Bay, Wis., and which teams missed an opportunity to get better? Here are my draft grades for 2025:
AFC WEST
Denver
— Grade: A
— Draft picks: Round 1 (20 overall) Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas; 2 (60) RJ Harvey, RB, UCF; 3 (74) Pat Bryant, WR, Illinois; 3 (101) Sai’vion Jones, DL, LSU; 4 (134) Que Robinson, Edge, Alabama; 6 (216) Jeremy Crawshaw, P, Florida; 7 (241) Caleb Lohner, TE, Utah.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Clay Webb, G, Jacksonville State; Xavier Truss, T, Georgia; Johnny Walker Jr., Edge, Missouri.
— The lowdown: The Broncos provided an excellent example of what selecting the best player available actually looks like, passing on running backs Omarion Hampton and TreVeyon Henderson in the first round for Barron, the 10th-ranked player on my final top 100. Either Hampton or Henderson would’ve filled a pressing need, but GM George Paton stuck to his board and took advantage of this running back class being one of the deepest in the last 20 years.
Kansas City
— Grade: A-
— Draft picks: 1 (32) Josh Simmons, T, Ohio State; 2 (63) Omarr Norman-Lott, DL, Tennessee; 3 (66) Ashton Gillotte, Edge, Louisville; 3 (85) Nohl Williams, CB, California; 4 (133) Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State; 5 (156) Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon; 7 (228) Brashard Smith, RB, SMU.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Elijhah Badger, WR, Florida; Mac Dalena, WR, Fresno State; Jake Briningstool, TE, Clemson; Brandon George, LB, Pittsburgh; Melvin Smith Jr., CB, Southern Arkansas.
— The lowdown: Simmons would’ve gone much higher had he finished the season healthy, and GM Brett Veach added significant talent at all three levels of the defense, while also adding two dynamic playmakers on offense. The Chiefs also secured a solid group of priority free agents, including Briningstool, the top-ranked tight end in the 2021 recruiting class.
L.A. Chargers
— Grade: A
— Draft picks: 1 (22) Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina; 2 (55) Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss; 3 (86) Jamaree Caldwell, DL, Oregon; 4 (125) Kyle Kennard, Edge, South Carolina; 4 (158) KeAndre Lambert-Smith, WR, Auburn; 5 (165) Oronde Gadsden II, TE, Syracuse; 6 (199) Branson Taylor, T, Pittsburgh; 6 (214) R.J. Mickens, S, Clemson; 7 (256) Trikweze Bridges, CB, Florida.
— Notable undrafted free agents: DJ Uiagalelei, QB, Florida State; Raheim Sanders, RB, South Carolina; Garmon Randolph, Edge, Baylor.
— The lowdown: Hampton is the long-term solution at running back, with Najee Harris only signed for a season. Tre Harris and Gadsden could form a prolific receiving trio with Ladd McConkey for years to come. Caldwell replaces Poona Ford, who bolted for the Rams in free agency.
Las Vegas
— Grade: A+
— Draft picks: 1 (6) Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State; 2 (58) Jack Bech, WR, TCU; 3 (68) Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State; 3 (98) Caleb Rogers, T, Texas Tech; 3 (99) Charles Grant, T, William & Mary; 4 (108) Dont’e Thornton Jr., WR, Tennessee; 4 (135) Tonka Hemingway, DL, South Carolina; 6 (180) JJ Pegues, DL, Ole Miss; 6 (213) Tommy Mellott, QB, Montana State; 6 (215) Cam Miller, QB, North Dakota State; 7 (222) Cody Lindenberg, LB, Minnesota.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Jah Joyner, Edge, Minnesota; Jailin Walker, LB, Indiana; Mello Dotson, CB, Kansas.
— The lowdown: Jeanty reminded me so much of LaDainian Tomlinson during my evaluation process, which is interesting now, considering how much L.T. used to torture the Raiders. The four Day 2 picks should all have an immediate impact, and I’m pretty sure the ghost of Al Davis turned the card in on Thornton in the fourth round. He features an elite combination of size and speed (4.30 40-yard dash in Indy), but he’s barely played.
AFC EAST
Buffalo
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 1 (30) Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky; 2 (41) T.J. Sanders, DL, South Carolina; 2 (72) Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas; 4 (109) Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky; 5 (170) Jordan Hancock, CB, Ohio State; 5 (173) Jackson Hawes, TE, Georgia Tech; 6 (177) Dorian Strong, CB, Virginia Tech; 6 (206) Chase Lundt, T, UConn; 7 (240) Kaden Prather, WR, Maryland.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Taylor Elgersma, QB, Wilfrid Laurier (minicamp invite).
— The lowdown: The Bills got themselves three really good corners, and bolstered their defensive line. But how about lightening Josh Allen’s load on offense a bit? Adding a receiver before the seventh round might have gotten them an “A” grade.
Miami
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 1 (13) Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan; 2 (37) Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Arizona; 5 (143) Jordan Phillips, DL, Maryland; 5 (150) Jason Marshall Jr., CB, Florida; 5 (155) Dante Trader Jr., S, Maryland; 6 (179) Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State; 7 (231) Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas; 7 (253) Zeek Biggers, DL, Georgia Tech.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Jalin Conyers, TE, Texas Tech; Eugene Asante, LB, Auburn.
— The lowdown: GM Chris Grier addressed significant needs on the defensive and offensive line, and in the secondary, while adding a 2026 third-rounder from the Texans.
New England
— Grade: A+
— Draft picks: 1 (4) Will Campbell, T, LSU; 2 (38) TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State; 3 (69) Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State; 3 (95) Jared Wilson, C, Georgia; 4 (106) Craig Woodson, S, Cal; 5 (137) Joshua Farmer, DL, Florida State; 5 (146) Bradyn Swinson, Edge, LSU; 6 (182) Andres Borregales, K, Miami; 7 (220) Marcus Bryant, T, Missouri; 7 (251) Julian Ashby, LS, Vanderbilt; 7 (257) Kobee Minor, CB, Memphis.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Lan Larison, RB, UC Davis; Efton Chism III, WR, Eastern Washington; CJ Dippre, TE, Alabama; Elijah Ponder, Edge, Cal Poly.
— The lowdown: The Patriots added the top tackle and center in this draft, a dynamic tailback and an immediate starter at receiver. That’s how you support a young franchise QB. Defacto GM Eliot Wolf also landed two defenders in the fifth round many had going in the top 100 picks, including myself.
N.Y. Jets
— Grade: A
— Draft picks: 1 (7) Armand Membou, T, Missouri; 2 (42) Mason Taylor, TE, LSU; 3 (73) Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State; 4 (110) Arian Smith, WR, Georgia; 5 (130) Malachi Moore, DB, Alabama; 5 (162) Francisco Mauigoa, LB, Miami; 5 (176) Tyler Baron, Edge, Miami.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Brady Cook, QB, Missouri; Donovan Edwards, RB, Michigan; Jordan Clark, CB, Notre Dame; Dean Clark, S, Fresno State.
— The lowdown: The Jets passed on the draft’s top two tight ends for Membou, the perfect bookend for last year’s first-round pick Olu Fashanu, but ended up landing Taylor with their second pick. Thomas’ 40 time dropped him into the third round, where he’s an excellent value.
AFC NORTH
Baltimore
— Grade: A+
— Draft picks: 1 (27) Malaki Starks, S, Georgia; 2 (59) Mike Green, Edge, Marshall; 3 (91) Emery Jones Jr., T, LSU; 4 (129) Teddye Buchanan, LB, Cal; 5 (141) Carson Vinson, T, Alabama A&M; 6 (178) Bilhal Kone, CB, Western Michigan; 6 (186) Tyler Loop, K, Arizona; 6 (203) LaJohntay Wester, WR, Colorado; 6 (210) Aeneas Peebles, DL, Virginia Tech; 6 (212) Robert Longerbeam, CB, Rutgers; 7 (243) Garrett Dellinger, IOL, LSU.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Nash Hutmacher, DL, Nebraska; Chandler Martin, LB, Memphis; Jay Higgins, LB, Iowa.
— The lowdown: Another vintage performance by GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens’ front office. Pairing Starks with Swiss Army knife Kyle Hamilton could lock in the gains Baltimore’s defense achieved during the second half of last season by having Hamilton defend the slot, and play closer to the line of scrimmage.
Cincinnati
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (17) Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M; 2 (49) Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina; 3 (81) Dylan Fairchild, IOL, Georgia; 4 (119) Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson; 5 (153) Jalen Rivers, IOL, Miami; 6 (193) Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Seth McLaughlin, C, Ohio State; Caleb Etienne, T, BYU; Howard Cross III, DL, Notre Dame.
— The lowdown: Stewart has one of the highest upsides in this draft, and the Bengals also bolstered their linebacker corps and interior offensive line, both weaknesses last season. However, they didn’t address their porous secondary at all.
Cleveland
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 1 (5), Mason Graham, DL, Michigan; 2 (33) Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA; 2 (36) Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State; 3 (67) Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green; 3 (94) Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon; 4 (126) Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee; 5 (144) Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: Adding a first-round pick in 2026, and still landing a top-5 player (Graham) in this draft deserves praise. I’m a huge fan of every selection that wasn’t a quarterback in this group, but somehow taking Gabriel in the third (!) and Sanders in the fifth, a huge value obviously, muddies up their QB situation even more than it already was.
Pittsburgh
— Grade: A-
— Draft picks: 1 (21) Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon; 3 (83) Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa; 4 (123) Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State; 5 (164) Yahya Black, DL, Iowa; 6 (185) Will Howard, QB, Ohio State; 7 (226) Carson Bruener, LB, Washington; 7 (229) Donte Kent, CB, Central Michigan.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Sebasian Castro, S, Iowa.
— The lowdown: I would’ve liked to have seen the Steelers add some depth to their O-line, but I appreciate GM Omar Khan not taking the bait on a QB in the first round. There’s value and potential early impact with every player in this group.
AFC SOUTH
Houston
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 2 (34) Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State; 2 (48) Aireontae Ersery, T, Minnesota; 3 (79) Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State; 3 (97) Jaylin Smith, CB, USC; 4 (116) Woody Marks, RB, USC; 6 (187) Jaylen Reed, S, Penn State; 6 (197) Graham Mertz, QB, Florida; 7 (224) Kyonte Hamilton, DL, Rutgers; 7 (255) Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Eli Cox, C, Kentucky; Aijah Huzzie, CB, North Carolina.
— The lowdown: GM Nick Caserio added a 2026 third-rounder by trading out of the first round, allowing the Giants to jump back in to select QB Jaxson Dart. I love the Texans’ first three picks, especially keeping Higgins and Noel together in the pros, but both Trojans (Smith and Marks) were reaches.
Indianapolis
— Grade: C+
— Draft picks: 1 (14) Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State; 2 (45) JT Tuimoloau, Edge, Ohio State; 3 (80) Justin Walley, CB, Minnesota; 4 (127) Jalen Travis, T, Iowa State; 5 (151) DJ Giddens, RB, Kansas State; 6 (189) Riley Leonard, QB, Notre Dame; 6 (190) Tim Smith, DL, Alabama; 7 (232) Hunter Wohler, S, Wisconsin.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: I was mildly surprised Warren actually made it to the Colts, but it was an obvious choice once he did. Tuimoloau, Travis and Giddens are solid picks by GM Chris Ballard, but Walley was a reach, and Indy needed a new starting right guard.
Jacksonville
— Grade: A-
— Draft picks: 1 (2) Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado; 3 (88) Caleb Ransaw, CB, Tulane; 3 (89) Wyatt Milum, T, West Virginia; 4 (104) Bhayshul Tuten, RB Virginia Tech; 4 (107) Jack Kiser, LB, Notre Dame; 6 (194) Jalen McLeod, LB, Auburn; 6 (200) Rayuan Lane III, S, Navy; 7 (221) Jonah Monheim, OL, USC; 7 (236) LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Seth Henigan, QB, Memphis; Jabbar Muhammad, CB, Oregon.
— The lowdown: The Jaguars trading up to select Hunter was a stunning development in the first round, but it would soon be swept away by the story of Shedeur Sanders’ shocking fall. Some may think the Jags overpaid, but if the Heisman winner pans out, it was a bargain. GM James Gladstone also added my seventh- and ninth-ranked running backs in this class, Tuten and Allen, to an already crowded group that includes Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby.
Tennessee
— Grade: A
— Draft picks: 1 (1) Cam Ward, QB, Miami; 2 (52) Oluwafemi Oladejo, Edge, UCLA; 3 (82) Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State; 4 (103) Chimere Dike, WR, Florida; 4 (120) Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas; 5 (136) Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford; 5 (167) Jackson Slater, IOL, Sacramento State; 6 (183) Marcus Harris, S, California; 6 (188) Kalel Mullings, RB, Michigan.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami; Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, T, Florida; Cam Horsley, DL, Boston College.
— The lowdown: GM Mike Borgonzi secured the Titans a franchise QB and two ascending defenders with his first three picks. Then he focused on stockpiling weapons for Ward with his next three picks. I especially like them adding Restrepo, Ward’s top target at Miami, as a priority free agent.
NFC WEST
Arizona
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 1 (16) Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss; 2 (47) Will Johnson, CB, Michigan; 3 (78) Jordan Burch, DL, Oregon; 4 (115) Cody Simon, LB, Ohio State; 5 (174) Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State; 6 (211) Hayden Conner, IOL, Texas; 7 (225) Kitan Crawford, S, Nevada.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: GM Monti Ossenfort hyper-focused on improving the Cardinals’ defense in this draft, and selected two potential stars if Nolen can continue to develop and Johnson can stay healthy.
L.A. Rams
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 2 (46) Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon; 3 (90) Josaiah Stewart, Edge, Michigan; 4 (117) Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn; 5 (148) Ty Hamilton, DL, Ohio State; 5 (172) Chris Paul Jr., LB, Ole Miss; 7 (242) Konata Mumpfield, WR, Pittsburgh.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Willie Lampkin, IOL, North Carolina; Trey Wedig, T, Indiana; Shaun Dolac, LB, Buffalo.
— The lowdown: The 2026 first-round pick they added in a deal with the Falcons, allowing them to jump back into the first to select James Pearce Jr., is what’s propping this grade up. I like the players GM Les Snead added, especially Stewart in the third and Paul in the fifth, but three of the Rams’ top defensive backs and their starting right tackle are a year away from free agency.
San Francisco
— Grade: B-
— Draft picks: 1 (11) Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia; 2 (43) Alfred Collins, DL, Texas; 3 (75) Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State; 3 (100) Upton Stout, CB, Western Kentucky; 4 (113) CJ West, DL, Indiana; 4 (138) Jordan Watkins, WR, Ole Miss; 5 (147) Jordan James, RB, Oregon; 5 (160) Marques Sigle, S, Kansas State; 7 (227) Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana; 7 (249) Connor Colby, G, Iowa; 7 (252) Junior Bergen, WR, Montana.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Corey Kiner, RB, Cincinnati.
— The lowdown: I love how the Niners targeted their weak run defense from a year ago, replenishing their front-seven with four of their first five picks. Heck, even Stout, a nickelback, is strong against the run and has the name for it. But it appears GM John Lynch completely forgot about their potentially troublesome O-line. Colby was a solid value in the seventh round, but there’s no timeline in the multiverse where waiting that long to address such a glaring need would be acceptable. Especially, when one could argue that their interior O-line is what has kept them from winning their first Super Bowl title since in over 30 years.
Seattle
— Grade: A
— Draft picks: 1 (18) Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State; 2 (35) Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina; 2 (50) Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami; 3 (92) Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama; 5 (142) Rylie Mills, DL, Notre Dame; 5 (166) Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State; 5 (175) Robbie Ouzts, TE, Alabama; 6 (192) Bryce Cabeldue, T, Kansas; 7 (223) Damien Martinez, RB, Miami; 7 (234) Mason Richman, T, Iowa; 7 (238) Ricky White III, WR, UNLV.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Jared Ivey, Edge, Ole Miss; Jackson Woodard, LB, UNLV; Zy Alexander, CB, LSU.
— The lowdown: Outside of Warren with the Colts, no pick made more sense in the first round than Zabel to the Seahawks. Both Emmanwori and Arroyo could end up steals in the second round, and Milroe is the lottery ticket of this draft. There wasn’t a QB with higher upside in this class.
NFC EAST
Dallas
— Grade: C
— Draft picks: 1 (12) Tyler Booker, G, Alabama; 2 (44) Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College; 3 (76) Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina; 5 (149) Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas; 5 (152) Shemar James, LB, Florida; 6 (204) Ajani Cornelius, G, Oregon; 7 (217) Jay Toia, DL, UCLA; 7 (239) Phil Mafah, RB, Clemson; 7 (247) Tommy Akingbesote, DL, Maryland.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Alijah Clark, S, Syracuse; Justin Barron, LB, Syracuse.
— The lowdown: As much as I like Booker for them, the Joneses really needed to upgrade their offensive skill-positions earlier in this draft. Also, Revel could be a steal in the third, but he’s coming off an ACL tear, and considering how snakebitten the Cowboys secondary has been, it was an odd choice.
N.Y. Giants
— Grade: A-
— Draft picks: 1 (3) Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State; 1 (25) Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss; 3 (65) Darius Alexander, DL, Toledo; 4 (105) Cameron Skattebo, RB, Arizona State; 5 (154) Marcus Mbow, T, Purdue; 7 (219) Thomas Fidone II, TE, Nebraska; 7 (246) Korie Black, CB, Oklahoma State.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Beaux Collins, WR, Notre Dame.
— The lowdown: Trading two third-rounders (this year’s and next) was a reasonable price to jump back into the first round for Dart, and both Carter and Alexander are home run picks. Skattebo and Mbow were both steals on Saturday, especially Mbow, who went two rounds later than anticipated. Both Fidone and Black were great values in the seventh round.
Philadelphia
— Grade: A+
— Draft picks: 1 (31) Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama; 2 (64) Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas; 4 (111) Ty Robinson, DL, Nebraska; 5 (145) Mac McWilliams, CB, UCF; 5 (161) Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georgia; 5 (168) Drew Kendall, C, Boston College; 6 (181) Kyle McCord, QB, Syracuse; 6 (191) Myles Hinton, T, Michigan; 6 (207) Cameron Williams, T, Texas; 6 (209) Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Edge, Virginia Tech.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Hollin Pierce, T, Rutgers; Maxen Hook, S, Toledo.
— The lowdown: Another masterclass by GM Howie Roseman. Campbell, the 17th-ranked player on my top 100, fell into Roseman’s lap at No. 31. He added an incredible amount of talent for a team who just beat the two-time defending champs in the Super Bowl 40-22 (really wasn’t that close), especially when you factor in priority free agents Pierce and Hook. Both should have been drafted. Almost none of these players will start for the Eagles next season, barring injuries, but almost all of them would be challenging for a starting gig on the vast majority of other NFL teams.
Washington
— Grade: B-
— Draft picks: 1 (29) Josh Conerly Jr., T, Oregon; 2 (61) Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss; 4 (128) Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech; 6 (205) Kain Medrano, LB, UCLA; 7 (245) Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Arizona.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: GM Adam Peters only had five picks to work with because of trades that landed him Marshon Lattimore, Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel. Peters made every pick count, but he failed to address the Commanders’ largest void: edge rusher.
NFC NORTH
Chicago
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (10) Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan; 2 (39) Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri; 2 (56) Ozzy Trapilo, T, Boston College; 3 (62) Shemar Turner, DL, Texas A&M; 4 (132) Ruben Hyppolite II, LB, Maryland; 5 (169) Zah Frazier, CB, UTSA; 6 (195) Luke Newman, T, Michigan State; 7 (233) Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: GM Ryan Poles’ first two days of the draft were impressive, but the Bears went ice cold on Saturday until their final selection of Monangai, one of my favorite running backs in this class.
Detroit
— Grade: B-
— Draft picks: 1 (28) Tyleik Williams, DL, Ohio State; 2 (57) Tate Ratledge, G, Georgia; 3 (70) Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas; 5 (171) Miles Frazier, G, LSU; 6 (196) Ahmed Hassanein, Edge, Boise State; 7 (230) Dan Jackson, S, Georgia; 7 (244) Dominic Lovett, WR, Georgia.
— Notable undrafted free agents: None.
— The lowdown: GM Brad Holmes, who has been on a heater recently, included two 2026 third-round picks in a deal to move up and select TeSlaa, a significant reach with the 70th overall pick. The rest of the group is textbook though.
Green Bay
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (23) Matthew Golden, WR, Texas; 2 (54) Anthony Belton, OL, NC State; 3 (87) Savion Williams, WR, TCU; 4 (124) Barryn Sorrell, Edge, Texas; 5 (159) Collin Oliver, LB, Oklahoma State; 6 (198) Warren Brinson, DL, Georgia; 7 (237) Micah Robinson, CB, Tulane; 7 (250) John Williams, T, Cincinnati.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Nazir Stackhouse, DL, Georgia; Jamon Dumas-Johnson, LB, Kentucky; Taylor Elgersma, QB, Wilfrid Laurier (minicamp invite).
— The lowdown: The Packers finally ended their 23-year streak of not drafting a wide receiver in the first round with Golden, but then also added Williams in the third. That makes for a pretty crowded receiver room in Green Bay. GM Brian Gutekunst should have addressed cornerback earlier than the seventh round with Jaire Alexander on the trade block and the depth chart thin as is.
Minnesota
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (24) Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State; 3 (102) Tai Felton, WR, Maryland; 5 (139) Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, DL, Georgia; 6 (201) Kobe King, LB, Penn State; 6 (202) Gavin Bartholomew, TE, Pittsburgh.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Max Brosmer, QB, Minnesota; Tre Stewart, RB, Jacksonville State; Benjamin Yurosek, TE, Georgia; Bryson Nesbit, TE, North Carolina; Joe Huber, G, Wisconsin, Logan Brown, T, Kansas; Tyler Batty, Edge, BYU.
— The lowdown: GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah began with only four picks, but added an immediate impact player in Jackson, a talented receiver (Felton) to take the pressure off Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, and a solid priority free agent haul.
NFC SOUTH
Atlanta
— Grade: B+
— Draft picks: 1 (15) Jalon Walker, Edge, Georgia; 1 (26), James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee; 3 (96) Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame; 4 (118) Billy Bowman Jr., S, Oklahoma; 7 (218) Jack Nelson, T, Wisconsin.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State; Joshua Gray, G, Oregon State; Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas.
— The lowdown: Peer pressure works! The Falcons finally addressed their pass rush deficiency by drafting two of the top three edge rushers in this class. The only downside is GM Terry Fontenot had to deal their 2026 first-rounder to do it.
Carolina
— Grade: B-
— Draft picks: 1 (8) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona; 2 (51) Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M; 3 (77) Princely Umanmielen, Edge, Ole Miss; 4 (114) Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia; 4 (122) Lathan Ransom, S, Ohio State; 5 (140) Cam Jackson, DL, Florida; 5 (163) Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame; 6 (208) Jimmy Horn Jr., WR, Colorado.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Muhsin Muhammad III, WR, Texas A&M; Luke Kandra, G, Cincinnati; Jared Harrison-Hunte, DL, SMU; Jack Henderson, S, Minnesota.
— The lowdown: It’ll be interesting how we judge GM Dan Morgan passing on Jalon Walker or Mykel Williams for McMillan five years from now.
New Orleans
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (9) Kelvin Banks Jr., T, Texas; 2 (40) Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville; 3 (71) Vernon Broughton, DL, Texas; 3 (93) Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia; 4 (112) Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma; 4 (131) Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville; 6 (184) Devin Neal, RB, Kansas; 7 (248) Moliki Matavao, TE, UCLA; 7 (254) Fadil Diggs, Edge, Syracuse.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Jasheen Davis, Edge, Wake Forest.
— The lowdown: I love the Banks, Stutsman and Neal picks, and I understand why the Saints selected Shough in the second round, but I still believe that’s way too early. Plus, I wish GM Mickey Loomis would’ve double-dipped at cornerback and also added a receiver.
Tampa Bay
— Grade: B
— Draft picks: 1 (19) Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State; 2 (53) Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame; 3 (84) Jacob Parrish, CB, Kansas State; 4 (121) David Walker, Edge, Central Arkansas; 5 (157) Elijah Roberts, Edge, SMU; 7 (235) Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon.
— Notable undrafted free agents: Jake Majors, C, Texas; J.J. Roberts, S, Marshall; Shilo Sanders, S, Colorado.
— The lowdown: While I like Egbuka, I’m still perplexed on how the Bucs could pass on Jihaad Campbell there. GM Jason Licht answered questions in the secondary and added talent on the edge, but they’re still lacking an heir apparent for Lavonte David at linebacker. They also needed to add a tackle in this draft, since Luke Goedeke, their starter on the right side, is a free agent after next season.
