LOS ANGELES — The Rams began remaking the receiver corps for star quarterback Matthew Stafford, agreeing to terms with three-time All-Pro receiver Davante Adams on a two-year contract, the team announced Sunday.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

Adams, 32, starred for the Green Bay Packers for eight seasons before playing two-plus seasons for the Las Vegas Raiders and 11 games last season for the New York Jets.

With the Jets, Adams caught 67 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns. He has 957 career receptions for 11,844 yards and 103 touchdowns. Adams has eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving in a season seven times.

The Rams recently resolved a monthslong contract impasse with Stafford, ensuring that the 16-year veteran would remain with the Rams for a fifth season.

The Rams have been trying to trade veteran receiver Cooper Kupp, the 2021 NFL offensive player of the year, who is scheduled to earn about $20 million in salary and bonuses. He is due to collect a $7.5-million bonus if he is still on the roster next week.

Adams joins a receiver corp that includes third-year pro Puka Nacua, who supplanted Kupp as the No.1 receiver, and Tutu Atwell, who agreed to terms on a one-year, $10-million contract last week.

Demarcus Robinson is a pending free agent.

Adams is the fifth major move by the Rams in the last two weeks. They agreed to adjust Stafford's contract, re-signed left tackle Alaric Jackson to a three-year contract that includes $35 million in guarantees, traded offensive lineman Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears for a sixth-round draft pick, and re-signed Atwell, a second-round pick in the 2021 draft.
