MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Detroit Pistons had a 21-point lead with 2:55 left in the third quarter, but failed to maintain it as the Memphis Grizzlies embarked on a late-game rally. However, the Pistons were able to hold on, resulting in a 114-106 victory on Monday night at FedExForum.
Cade Cunningham scored a season-high 33 points, recorded eight assists and grabbed five rebounds. The All-NBA guard had 19 points in the fourth quarter. However, Isaiah Stewart had an outstanding game, leading Detroit with one of his best performances to date. He posted a double-double, contributing 26 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Stewart started in place of Tobias Harris, who was out due to a right ankle sprain.
