NEW YORK — The NYPD released surveillance footage Monday of the suspect in the shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd outside a hotspot Midtown restaurant that left him critically wounded.

Cops are asking the public’s help identifying the suspect and tracking him down.

The gunman fled the scene outside Sei Less on W. 38th St. near 7th Ave., running off east on W. 38th St. carrying a black bookbag.

Boyd, 29, struck in the abdomen, is in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.

“Pray for him,” was all Boyd’s emotionally distraught grandmother, Christine Portley could say when reached by phone Sunday.

Boyd was shot about 2:05 a.m. Sunday during an argument outside the Asian fusion “speakeasy” popular with celebrities, including athletes, rappers and Mayor Adams.

Surveillance footage reviewed by police shows a small group of men and at least one woman get startled and start running, a law enforcement source said. Boyd is among the group that scattered, but he then drops to the ground, struck by one of the two shots fired, the source said.

It is not yet clear what the argument was about or whether Boyd was the intended target.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” the NFL said in a statement released Sunday..

Video posted to social media shows police officers working on the shooting victim on the pavement about a half-block from the restaurant as traffic passes by and onlookers record on their phones.

“What happened?” a man can be heard saying off-screen, followed by the response, “Yo, he got shot.”

When an ambulance arrives, officers and medics wheel Boyd into it on a gurney. A woman can be seen leaning into the ambulance’s back doors at one point.

The Jets last played Thursday night, losing to the New England Patriots,

Boyd’s teammates on social media expressed support for Boyd and asked well-wishers to pray for his recovery.

“Everybody please send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family!!!” Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson posted on X.

“Guide every doctor, nurse, and surgeon who touches him lord,” Jets defensive tackle Harrison Phillips posted on the platform. “Give his family strength! Kris is a fighter and we’re all here for him.”

Boyd joined the Jets this year after signing a $1.6 million one-year contract but never took the field after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.

Before signing with the Jets, he played with the Minnesota Vikings for four years, followed by a year with the Arizona Cardinals and two with Houston Texans.

The suspect was wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants and multi-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
