Gadgets: This cooler is the life of the party

When I showed the Trinity 80 quart stainless steel cooler to some friends who are dedicated tailgaters at weekly college football games, their eyes lit up, and their mouths were wide open.

The new rolling cooler has many features, but what really sold them on it was that it keeps 96 12-ounce cans cold for up to 24 hours, from pregame to any overtime.

On the sides of the cooler are collapsible shelves, which work perfectly as serving tables for snacks. Each shelf can support up to 20 pounds. A bottom shelf is built into the four legs for extra storage. If bottles are your thing, there is a built-in opener with a cap catcher right below.

When the game is over and you're packing up, fold down the shelves and open the drainage plug. A weather-resistant cover is included, featuring straps that tighten at the bottom to keep it in place during bad weather.

If tailgating isn't your thing, roll the cooler easily with its four swivel wheels anywhere -- poolside, on the patio, on a camping trip, wherever it's needed. Find a home for it and then secure it in place with the locking wheels.

The Trinity 80 is built for durability, featuring a cooler tub made from 304-grade stainless steel. Its shelf, legs, side tables and lid are crafted from steel with a white powder-coated finish. Key components such as the bottle opener, cap catcher, hinges, latch and drainage plug are also made from stainless steel.

With the shelves folded down, the Trinity 80 measures 37.5 inches wide, 18.5 inches deep, and 35 inches high. Each fold-out shelf measures 9.5 by 15 by 3.2 inches. Putting the cooler together is straightforward for one person.

The only negative: It does not include ice and beverages; you're on your own for those.

The Case Clinger Crossbody Sling ($39.99) is an adjustable strap that keeps your iPhone securely attached. It can be worn around your neck or crossbody. A Fidlock magnetic buckle is included to clip the iPhone on and off in seconds. A rotating carabiner attaches the strap to the buckle and remains tangle-free. The Fidlock also has room to attach keys.

The slim and pocket-friendly Gripmunk case is simple, keeps your phone protected, and is MagSafe compatible with pass-through access. It's built with drop protection, tested 50 times from six feet. It's built with air pockets in the corners, which act like mini shock absorbers during accidental drops and bumps. MagSafe magnets let you use accessories on the case with a secure attachment. A MagSafe ring adapter kit, extra 3M adhesive, alcohol and dry wipes are included.
