Lifestyle Questions From the Survey (Part 3)
These are responses from the largest population represented in the survey, single parents whose children were at home. Confession: The issues in this section are intricate (and numerous) because of my own years as a single mom. They are irreplaceable in my memory, a learning experience never to be forgotten. (Sigh.) Onward:
--Are you more sexually responsive when your children are not at home? (About 73 percent said yes.)
--Would the frequency of sexual activity change if your children were not at home? (Fifty-six percent said yes.)
--Do your sex partners sleep over in your house? (About 23 percent said yes.)
--Do you respond to your children's questions about your sexual activity? (About 53 percent said yes.)
--Do your children resent your dating? (Two-thirds said no.)
--Do you tell them about masturbation? (About 64 percent said no.)
--How soon after your marriage ended did you resume some degree of shared sexual activity? (About 41 percent said months; 2.5 percent said years.)
--Have your sexual fantasies become freer since you became single? (About 20 percent said yes.)
--How do you plan to educate your children to handle their sex life as unmarried adults? (About 34 percent said having a frank, open discussion.)
--Is the way you are conducting your sex life as a single person consistent with the way you are parenting?
--Were you sexually faithful to your spouse? (About 73 percent said yes.)
--Was your spouse faithful? (About 44 percent said no.)
--Would you be a different sex partner in a new marriage? (Sixty-seven percent said yes.)
--In what ways? (Sixty-two percent said by being faithful, honest and less inhibited.)
I can think of a zillion new queries to ask in an updated survey. What about it, dear readers? Is it time for an update?
