DETROIT — Saturday is Record Store Day, the annual holiday for independent record stores, featuring hundreds of limited-edition vinyl releases from superstar artists.

Record Store Day began in 2008 as a modest way to get people to visit their friendly neighborhood record shop. It has since exploded in popularity, and for record stores, it's their Christmas, a day when thousands of vinyl collectors hit the bins looking for new and used vinyl along with those special Record Store Day releases.

Every year features a Record Store Day Ambassador, and this year's is Bruno Mars, who will offer his "Collaborations" set, which features his partnerships with Lady Gaga, ROSÉ and more. The set is limited to 11,000 copies.

Also in the offerings are releases from everyone from Air to Zerobaseone.

Classic rockers like the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Pink Floyd have sets on the way, as do Madonna, Van Halen, En Vogue, Deafheaven, Blur, Alice Cooper, Jeff Buckley, Hilary Duff, the Cure, Phoenix, Bruce Springsteen, Haim, George Harrison, Neil Young and many, many more.

Even cartoon dogs are getting in on the action, as Bluey has a set hitting shelves. The full release schedule is available here, and it's worth planning ahead if there's something you really want to get your hands on.

We've perused the list, and here are 10 titles that will be at the forefront of many collectors' wish lists. Remember, quantities are limited — but vinyl is forever.

'KPop Demon Hunters (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film)'

The soundtrack from the Grammy-winning (and Oscar-winning!) Netflix smash hits vinyl in two editions, one featuring HUNTR/Xon the cover, the other featuring rival group Saja Boys. Each edition comes with a fold-out poster, a sticker sheet, and three snapshot cards (from a set of 12), and each edition is limited to 10,000 copies. Happy hunting!

Taylor Swift, 'Elizabeth Taylor'

The third single from Taylor Swift's 12th studio album comes home in a 7-inch edition, pressed on "Cry My Eyes Violet Glitter" vinyl, and the B-side features a "So Glamorous Cabaret Version" remix of the song. If Taylor Swift fans are collectors — are they? Has anyone looked into this? — then this should be one of the day's hottest releases. The quantities of this one were not made available, but it's safe to assume there will be a lot floating around.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, 'Wicked: One Wonderful Night (Live) — The Soundtrack'

One of the hottest releases on last year's Record Store Day was a limited edition pressing of the "Wicked: Part 1" soundtrack. So it stands to reason this two-LP pressing of Grande and Erivo's NBC special, which is limited to 7,000 copies, will also be a top seller.

Big Sean, 'Detroit'

Big Sean's 2012 mixtape, which features guest spots from J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Royce da 5'9" and Jhené Aiko and spoken word interludes by Young Jeezy, Common and Snoop Dogg (then Snoop Lion), was released in between Sean's first two studio albums. It hits vinyl for the first time, pressed on two black LPs, in a set limited to 2,000 copies.

Weezer, '1192'

Recorded in November 1992 — hence the title — "1192" is made up of recently unearthed recordings of Weezer's first studio sessions, songs like "Say It Ain't So" and "Surf Wax America" in their rawest form, which would go on to make up the tracks on the band's 1994 self-titled debut album, known to fans as the legendary, immortal "Blue Album." The 10-track record is limited to 3,000 copies.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, 'Live at the Paradise Rock Club'

The band's 1978 performance at Boston's Paradise Rock Club, which was broadcast on Boston rock station WBCN-FM, gets an official release from the Tom Petty estate. The set includes versions of "Don't Bring Me Down," "Shout" and "I Fought the Law," and comes on 180-gram pink and green translucent splatter vinyl, and comes packaged with a vintage sticky tour pass. Limited to 8,000 copies.

Adam Sandler, 'They're All Gonna Laugh at You!'

Anyone who was a teenager in the '90s has Adam Sandler's debut album burned into their brain. First released on vinyl for Record Store Day in 2018, the set is back, pressed on orange vinyl, and this pressing includes exclusive sticker and magnet sheets and an air freshener, because why not. Limited to 2,250 copies.

Billy Strings, 'Tiny Desk'

The Michigan bluegrass singer and guitarist presses up his warmly received November 2025 performance from NPR's "Tiny Desk Concert" series, which includes renditions of "Red Daisy," "My Alice," "Malfunction Junction" and "Gild the Lily." Pressed on Milky White vinyl, limited to 7,000 copies.

Peter Gabriel, 'Sledgehammer'

This Zoetrope disc is embedded with images from "Sledgehammer's" groundbreaking music video, which, along with the single, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The A-side of this 12-inch pressing features an extended mix of "Sledgehammer," while the B-side features "Don't Break This Rhythm" and "I Have the Touch." Limited to 2,000 copies.

Danny Brown, 'Grown Up'

The Detroit rapper's 2012 release is pressed on a 7-inch single, which is limited to 1,500 copies.
