Brandon Blackstock's children are "taking it one day at a time" after losing their dad.

The talent manager passed away in August, aged 48, following a private battle with cancer, and Reba McEntire, Brandon's stepmom, has now revealed how Brandon's kids are coping with losing their father.

Reba told Us Weekly: "The kids are doing well, they're all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time. We know God's got this."

Reba, 70, also revealed how she's dealing with the heartbreak.

The country music star - who was married to Narvel Blackstock between 1989 and 2015 - shared: "We miss him. We miss him every minute."

Brandon - who had Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18, with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth, as well as River, 11, and Remy, nine, with pop star Kelly Clarkson - passed away in August following a three-year cancer battle.

A rep for his family announced his death, telling Us Weekly: "It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.

"Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time."

In August, a source claimed that Kelly will ensure her kids will always "come first" following Brandon's passing.

The 43-year-old pop star - who was married to Brandon between 2013 and 2022 - has been focused on the wellbeing of her kids over recent months.

A source told Us Weekly: "It has been draining, exhausting, emotional [and] devastating."

Kelly tried really hard to balance her TV career while taking care of her children, amid Brandon's cancer battle.

The insider explained: "A big part of it was making her schedule available for transporting the children to visit Brandon, and all of the emotions that came with this difficult time.

"Kelly is a workhorse. Hard work is all she knows. She hates disappointing people, truly. The thing that kept her going was knowing how many people depend on her, like her crews and employees."
