NEW YORK — A representative for Timothy Busfield denies the embattled actor sexually abused a female co-star in 1991, while insisting that claim has nothing to do with criminal charges Busfield faces for allegedly assaulting two boys.

The Mirror U.S. reported on Sunday that actor Claudia Christian claimed in an interview with police that an aroused Busfield threw her against a wall and “shoved his tongue” in her mouth while they were running lines in his trailer while filming the horror movie “Strays”

Christian told that publication she told people on set about the incident when it happened, but no action was taken. She reportedly felt compelled to speak about her alleged encounter after learning two boys who worked with Busfield accused the 68-year-old actor of improper touching on the set of “The Cleaning Lady.”

The misconduct against those brothers is said to have occurred between November 2022 and the spring of 2024. One of the siblings claimed the abuse began when he was 7.

Busfield’s spokesperson Larry Stein told TMZ that his client denies wrongdoing with regards to Miller’s claim and the charges he faces.

“The current case, which has destroyed his reputation and career, is about an allegation regarding prepubescent boys,” Stein said. “There is absolutely no connection between 35-year-old allegations regarding an adult woman and prepubescent boys.”

Christian was 26 years old when she worked with Busfield. He would’ve been around 32 years old.

A New Mexico grand jury indicted Busfield on four counts of criminal sexual contact with a child under the age of 13 last month. Stein reacted to those indictments by declaring he would “fight these charges at every stage.”
