Miss Jamaica is still hospitalized in intensive care days after falling off the Miss Universe stage, with her family saying she “isn’t doing as well” as they “would have hoped.”

Dr. Gabrielle “Gabby” Henry, 28, will remain in an ICU in Thailand for at least a week as “doctors continue their close monitoring and specialized care,” according to a statement shared on Friday by the official Miss Universe Jamaica Instagram page.

“Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly,” said her sister, Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, who’s currently with Henry in Thailand, where the pageant was held.

“During this profoundly difficult time, the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization is earnestly calling on Jamaicans at home and across the Diaspora to continue keeping Gabrielle in their prayers,” said the organization, which urged against “sharing negative comments, misinformation or speculation that may cause further distress to the family.”

Henry was walking in high heels and an evening gown during Wednesday’s preliminary portion of the pageant when she continued off the platform, apparently unaware of where it ended, according to footage on social media.

At the time, the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization said Henry had been rushed to Paolo Rangsit Hospital and was “not suffering from any life-threatening injuries; however, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.”

Miss Universe CEO Raúl Rocha said that he had been at the hospital with Henry’s family: “Thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care.”

It’s unclear exactly what injuries Henry suffered.
