Auto review: 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE is a Powerhouse
Published in Business News
Lamborghini makes some of the most desirable cars in the world, coveted for the power beneath their hoods. Now the company has decided to throw a curveball at its fans with the 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid. True to the automaker's heritage, it looks exotic, different and luxurious —and it packs that Lamborghini power.
Our Verde Gea Lucido Lamborghini Urus SE weekend tester was powered by a plug-in hybrid 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, producing 789 horsepower, 701 pound-feet of torque, and clocking a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 194 miles per hour.
Packed with over $85K worth additional options, the Lamborghini Urus SE could very well be the best SUV ever produced. Upgrades included $15K for paint, $6K for 23-inch wheels, $8K in carbon fiber, $7K in Bang & Olufsen stereo, $3K powered front seats and $3K Panoramic sunroof, just to name a few. Standard on the Urus SE were four-zone climate control, an electric tailgate, carbon-ceramic brakes, Matrix LED adaptive headlights and air-suspension with active damping and active roll stabilization. Although similar on the interior to the Audi RS Q8, the Lamborghini Urus SE boasts great differences as well, such as a different infotainment system experience, and even sportier seats offering the Nero Ade leather and carbon fiber everywhere possible.
With an almost 800-horsepower SUV being produced by Lamborghini, what’s not to love? This powerhouse is easily the best and most powerful SUV we have ever tested. Compared to competing vehicles such as the Aston Martin DBX, Bentley Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-hybrid, the Urus is more comfortable, more powerful and more appealing. As Lamborghini continues to produce a powerhouse fleet of vehicles, the Urus SE is just another example of excellence.
